I woke up to
"Has anyone seen mom?"
"did you check the rocker?"
"she's not there"
"did you check by the computer?"
"she's not there"
"did you check the laundry room?"
"she's not there"
"did you check her bed?"
"its 9:30, she's won't be in bed"....
"yup she's there!!"
I can NOT believe I slept in for that long! I'm sure that had this been an actually school day emergency the oldest daughter would have made sure her brother was up and off on time (one would hope)...but my youngest daughter would have missed the bus for sure.
This could be a slight problem here in a few weeks when hubby goes out of town for a Users-Convention (some get-together for computer nerds). He won't be here to wake me up OR take the kids to school if they miss their buses and my college bound kid has to be to his first class by 8am so he wouldn't be able to help either.
Time to start setting the bigger alarm I guess....set up the iHome to wake me to the Marine corps cadence....or I should just download a copy of Reville onto my iPod for an alarm--I've got one, I just have to remember how it got filed.
I wonder if its on my old external hard drive that blew up??
Oh my socks? Well they aren't coming along quite like I had hoped....still working on the cuff. I know, I know! I've only got till Halloween...there is some question as to whether the partners are supposed to HAVE them by then or if we have to MAIL them by then.
I will get them done....I have just got to get past the mental block of these cuffs. I don't know if its the black that is slowing me down or what...normally, while I hate cuffs, I can whack off an inch in a day no issues. For some reason this is just slowing me down.
I have started on my "homework" of designing a HP themed craft item. It is being done in crochet, of course....I am Maggie the Crochet-a-Holic after all....but I think either my hook is too large or I need to reconsider my stitch. Definately this is a more intermediate level project because there is more thought process going on.
Either that or I've just gotten rusty since I've spent the last two years really concentrating on my knitting, this last year on knitting with dpns.
