Senate hearing to focus on NFL long-term disability program - Los Angeles Times
Okay, I guess on some level I feel for them...but (a)its a high risk profession I can see the higher standards for benefits (b) these guys make well over $100,000/yr and they chose to spendl spend spend instead of saving it like the rest of us have to do (c)you can not tell me that they do not have some life insurance policies they can't draw on...like so many regular people have to.
Some one call the WAAAAmbulance for these guys please.
Now someone tell me WHY congress is involved in this? the NFL and its affiliates are PRIVATELY owned as far as I know. As long as they are meeting OSHA standards, let them be.
