SOMEbody please find this guy and take him out! Bin Laden that is.
Okay so you all know the tale of the scorpian right? No? Here it is:
Once there was a fox laying on the bank of a river, minding its own business and napping when a scorpion disrupted his rest and asked for a ride across the river.
"No way" said the fox "you'll turn on me"
"No I won't" said the scorpion. But the fox turned him away and went back to sleep.
The Scorpion moved closer and woke the fox again asking for a ride.
"No way" said the fox, "I've seen what you can do...go away" and he went back to sleep.
The Scorpion move closer, now he was right in front of the fox's nose.
"I promise I won't hurt you" said the Scorpion, "look how close I've come and I haven't hurt you yet....I can be trusted"
Well, the fox thought about it and said okay he would help the scorpion. So he let the scorpion climb onto his back and went into the water. Soon that water was over the fox's back and the scorpion had moved up onto the shoulder blades.
"You better not sting me" said the fox "if you don't remember--I'm taking you back to shore"
"don't worry" said the scorpion "I won't forget, you can trust me"
The fox swam on and soon the water was over the shoulder blades and the scorpion moved up onto the top of the fox's head. The fox noticed the tail begin to twitch.
"Hey remember your promise!" said the fox
"Now friend fox" said the scorpion, "if I stung you we both would die; what would be the point of that?"
Soon the fox was in the middle of the river at its deepest point and the water was splashing up onto the top of the head, so the scorpion moved onto the end of the fox's nose.
The scorpion turned to look the fox in the eyes and they exchanged the glance for what seemed like an eternity....when suddenly the scorpion stung the fox on the tip of his nose.
"why?" screamed the fox "Why would you do that? Now we will both die!"
"why?" said the scorpion "because I'm a scorpion....its what I do".
Another fox had come to the other shore, and seeing the fox failing in the river swam out to try to help him.
When he got there the fox was beyond help but the scorpion was on top of the nose and said
"New friend fox, could you continue my ride to the other side? Friend fox trusted me but could not finish the ride for me"
So now the President of Pakistan, who many have felt has been turning a blind-eye to Al-Quada in his country, is finding that Bin Laden is wagging his tail at him. Now we have to see who will carry the scorpion across the river now that the original fox is about to be drowned.
P.S. one of the natural predators of the scorpion are birds....the US symbol is the Eagle....hmmmm....seems natural to me!
