This is horrid on so many levels I don't know where to start.

Okay, so which kid are they going to give up?? What horrid people, they shouldn't even be allowed to keep one of the kids. How many people want babies and can't afford the fertility clinics and these two have gotten it for free in Australia!

You know, by now I would think everybody knows how this works. They pump the mother-to-be full of drugs to make her ovulate like a bunny and then havest the eggs; they fertilize the eggs and implant it in the womb; Well they don't do just one, they do several so that it increases the chances of a successful pregnancy (most are miscarried); but there are several cases, and its not uncommon, for there to be multiple children that "take" and multiple births are the result.

So you have two kids....Oh boo hoo to you! Guess what? Babies put strain on a relationship, especially when they are young. I would loved to have had twins the first time out....since I wouldn't have known anything else (I was working in a daycare at the time with about 25 babies under the age of 18months) it would have been easy to get used to.

Boo Hoo!! You read the form before you signed it, it said you were getting two eggs in and you might get two babies out....you knew.

How sorry I feel for those kids....can you imagine growing up and finding out that YOU were one of the kids in this case? You would be wondering all your life which one they didn't want...and if you DID find out, how would you deal with it--whether you were the one they wanted or didn't want? And then it sounds like they are blaming this extra child for everything.

And private school??? Did you read that??? They want the clinic to pay for their kids to go to private school....I would assume that Australia has a public school system....I would think it was rather good too. Normally I would think that if they could afford the fertility treatments then they should be able to afford the kids....but by the sounds of it, the government paid for all of it anyways!
