Was John Paul II Euthanized? - Yahoo! News: "Catholics are enjoined to pursue all means to prolong life."
NO THEY DON'T!! They are "prevented" from taking a life but they are not made to do whatever they can to prolong it! That is just ridiculous and I condemn the reporter for printing it!
The reason that the Catholic church doesn't recognized birth control within marriage or the use of fertility drugs/envitro fertilization is because they feel it "supersedes" "God's Will"....that's the jest of it all...God's Will. There is nothing about having to prolong life....you don't commit suicide or kill because it interferes with "Gods plans".
Holding off on the feeding tube is NOT euthanasia....euthanasia is a deliberate act that brings about the instantaneous death of a person or animal--such as when a dog gets "put to sleep"--boy I think this gal is just looking for a name for herself!
