So what they are saying is this has been going on for 45 yrs and been under UN negotiations....I think its safe to say, guys, that the talking ain't working and the UN needs to send some peacekeepers. No wait....you can't do that because the majority of the troops you would send are US TROOPS...granted there are a lot of others involved here as well (Italy, Greece, Turkey, England, Australia, Germany--oh no that's right, they aren't allowed to "send" troops anywhere because of that nasty habit they have of invading places)....but the majority of the troop movements are US troops.
TRIVIA:Do you know why the UN is based in the USA?
Because at the time of its forming it was felt that if war erupted in Europe it would be far enough away from the conflict to be able to act before America got attacked. Hmmm, its not that way any more! I still think the best place for them would be on one of the poles...I'd say the South Pole...it is the one place on earth that is "ownership" neutral, by agreement....it does not belong to any one country--kind of like how the North Pole used to be.
