On the Dems side of things :
Obama, then Edwards, then Hillary (she is pretty far behind Edwards too)

On the Rep side of things:
Huckabee, then Romney, then Thompson (GO FRED!!) and McCain isn't even being mentioned in the line up.

Guiliani skipped Iowa to go to FL in one news story---my guess is that cost him his spot. Farmers really hate it when they feel you are just patronizing them...I think that's why Fred is doing better than they expected.

If you have seen any of his interviews or listened to his podcast or when he fills in for Paul Harvey sr. you will notice that he is very personable. And while this will help a lot in meetings with delegates, the question is whether this is good enough to be President.

I don't like any of the candidates out there (although Fred appeals to me on an "underdog" level) so this is all so much hot-air to me, and by the time we get to vote here in my state Iowa, New Hampshire, and CT will all have had their turns and will have thinned out the field.

I seem to remember watching the conventions on television with my folks and hearing the delegates from each state call out thier votes for the candidates they liked....there was a great feeling over it all....you didn't know who was going to be the candidate until after the convention was done and nearly every state gave their vote....now a days....it starts so early.....too much power is given to too few states....it just doesn't have that ELECTRIC feeling that it had back then.

Do you think any of our kids will remember what it was like during election time? I don't think so.
