MPR: The Winds of Hell
This has some nice first source interviews (survivor's)...but meteroloist Paul Douglas has gone to the "dark side" on the global-warming issue so I was surprised to hear him this peice--after all this was back in the 1940's before all the 'evil' cars that we have now.
If you try to read the peice with the audio you will find that they misquote many of the things the men say about the storm.
I was also concerned about the fact that there were no women being interviewed...not that I think women had it any harder....but it would have been interesting to hear what they had to say.
We always hear about the guys that were out duck hunting....but what about the women that were left at the farms and at home worrying about their loved ones, or had to deal with the sudden loss of basic services in the blizzard.
How about some interviews with the survivors of the massive train crash??
It would be very interested in getting these stories saved somewhere for everyone to share!
Maybe a new blog??
OH YEAH JUST WHAT I NEED!!
