Chavez says U.S. relations could worsen with McCain International Reuters:

"CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, a socialist and fierce U.S. critic, warned on Tuesday that relations with Washington could worsen if Republican candidate John McCain wins this year's presidential election."

Well that's the best reason I've heard yet to vote for McCain --- just to piss Chavez off!!

"...He did not mention Democratic hopefuls Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. Both are cautious about Chavez, although Obama has said he could meet him.
Chavez, who holds office until 2013, aims to unite Latin America through socialism and promotes trade plans opposed to U.S. dominance in the region...."

Okay ... look another leader that has it out for the US way of life that Barrack would meet with without vetting first ... this is getting scary, man.

So why would Chavez be so opposed to McCain? Well other than the fact that McCain would support lessening our dependence on foreign oil (the majority of which comes from Venezuela where Chavez rules), he has all called Chavez a 'Castro wannabe' -- and Chavez has a higher opinion of himself than that.
Chavez is good friends with the Castro brothers and has recently taken several trips to Cuba during Fidel's illness & health scares, raising questions about a possible move on Chavez's part to control the country with Fidel's brother as a puppet-president.

Yeah. Just because of Chevez's comments I may have to rethink my position on McCain.
