Magnitude 6.2 - ICELAND Okay there is a volcano on Iceland, Hekla; but I haven't seen anything about it being active recently.
There have been a few other earthquakes in the artic area that haven't been covered recently. There was one just yesterday at 1pm UTC that measured 4.9
There was also one off Greenland on Saturday measuring 4.5
There have been tons in Alaska (which really isn't that unusual).
Although zooming out on Google Earth I noticed that there have been quite a few quakes along the main rift that runs from the northern pole to the southern region (its off a bit from the poles and does not run straight) ... but it seems like they are happening right along the rift.
This could be pretty major ... why? What would happen if those rifts suddenly opened up? Can we say Tsunami?? Perhaps it could even mean the swallowing of waters ... or perhaps there is a new volcano building up .... maybe all the drilling being done by the enviromentalists to gat core samples has weakened the crust.
or maybe --- we are getting ready for a polar shift. They say we are due for one soon.
