Whoopi was so great when Elizabeth and Sherry went all school-girlie over the movie.

OMGs -- I thought I was looking at my daughter and her friends at her last big birthday party (when she turned 14 ... we haven't celebrated her 16th yet). They were all squealy and chatty (100 miles an hour) and could barely put together a clear thought.

They kept getting shots of Whoopi who just had this look of 'what kind of shit is this?' look on her face ... Joy just sat there smiling. Whoopi was so funny .... I had to kind of wonder what was going thru their heads too. (hubby would have said it was like my girls and I whenever a Jane Austen flick comes on ... especially the ones just on Masterpiece Classics)

Whoopi hit back with her California Girl character from her stand up routine (I don't know if she still uses it now ... but she used to in the 80's). It was so perfect. They told her that she really needs to see it ... and she was like 'fer sheer' and just got that perfect gitty shake to her head.

I loved it.

Now about McCain ... I know what McCain's position is. He feels that his situation with Parsley is different than the Wright situation because he does not attend Parsley's church.

EXCUSE ME??? Hey what's good for the goose is sauce for the gander, Johnny Boy! (I use that cliche' a lot, don't I?).

If it was wrong for Obama to associate with Wright with his anti-American rhetoric and his, what really seemed like, hate-whites speech then it is just as bad for McCain to accept the endorsement of what these people believe (hate-muslims speech) ... he needs to come out with a clear statement seperating himself from these views - the same way that Hillary prodded Barrack into seperating himself from Farrahkan's endorsement of him.

Just a quick note:
It is 'Muslim" not 'muslin'. One is a group of people ... the other a type of material. You have no idea how many people I have heard on television get that wrong.

I have a question:
What is the difference between 'Islam' and 'Muslim'? Are they like 'Catholic' and 'Christian'? or are they just synonyms for the same religion?
