Defending comments of an Obama Supporter

Washington Times - Pentagon Notebook: McPeak calls McCain too fat: "

'We both graduated,' Gen. McPeak said of what is considered a ticket-punching step up the ladder to higher rank.
Mr. McCain, a fighter pilot just like Gen. McPeak, was seeking to restart a military career after nearly six years of harsh treatment in North Vietnam. ['harsh treatment'? he was a f-ing prisoner! Yeah I'd say its rough and why didn't they call it was it was in the story? 'harsh treatment' ... makes it sound like they just pushed him around a little]
'He was fresh out of jail, you know,' Gen. McPeak said. 'Skinny kid. All beat up of course, physically. [well, apparently the Gen thinks it was a walk in the park mentally & emontionally though -- why the hell would he have to specify like that??]But quite thin. They weren't feeding him very well in Hanoi. He's done very well at the dinner table in Washington.'
Gen. McPeak also said Mr. McCain received special favors when he returned to the U.S. 'McCain was always kind of an exception,' Gen.
McPeak said."

Okay -- since the jest of the article was about McCain being 'fat' I'll start with that ... and because it is the only part of this guy's statement I can defend (hang on, I'll rip him in a second). He never said McCain was fat ... what he said was that when he met McCain he was a really skinny kid and he isn't skinny any more (although his comment seems to have a double entendre to it) -- not being skinny, does not equal fat. {that is spelled correctly, I check it at Merriam-Webster)

Now the rest of the BS he is spouting ...

Gee I'm sorry that you weren't also captured during the Korean war and held prisoner so you could get 'special favors' too -- you jerk wad! What? was he supposed to come back to America and spend the rest of his life in a corner someplace? What a dickhead!

McCain pulled himself up by his boot straps and got himself back on track -- he was one of the luck ones who were able to survive his ordeal not only over there but over here too, and its aftermath emotionally, mentally, and physically.

And if you were ANY sort of real military personnel you would realize that the military doesn't just 'give away' rank -- you paper general! If anyone doesn't 'deserve' their rank it is probably YOU.

what a fuck. Sorry for the language -- but he makes my blood boil. Not sure how McCain feels about it --- but to me this '4star general' is lower than the lowest grunt there is.

Tin Star Gen.
