"Mitchell: 'The Obama people must feel that he didn't do quite as well as they might have wanted to in that context, because what they are putting out privately is that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama. He seemed so well-prepared.' (NBC's 'Meet The Press,' 8/17/08)"I am getting so sick of the Obama camp whining everytime he screws up and McCain looks better than he does. They always seem to claim that something was 'unfair' .... how about this? Your canidate simply didn't take the situation as seriously as he should have and screwed it up.
Actually I had a feeling he wasn't going to do well because Obama is not at "thinking on his feet" - you can really tell when there isn't a telepropter around ... he hesitates, he's glib, he seems to over-think every thought before it pops out of his mouth going over it in his head and debating it -- in this case I think that was a bad thing.
McCain is very good at thinking on his feet, he's a very good public speaker - although one of his problems is that he does speak without thinking far enough ahead ... he doesn't think 'how is the media going to rip this up?' - he speaks from his heart ...
I don't like either one of them for President, but I really can't stand the alternate choices so i have to chose the lesser of two 'evils' ... I don't care what politica party they are ... man all mighty this is going to be tough.
But as the Greeks used to say -- if you don't vote then you have no right to complain about what happens.
