My Way News - Voting for president begins in pivotal Ohio:
"In the state that may again determine the presidency, voters startedI'm sorry but that isn't the reason for 'absentee' ballots -- it is to assure that your ballot will count if for some reason on the night of the election you are unable to get to the polling place ... not simply because you want to 'get it out of the way' -- this is a civic duty that isn't being stressed enough to the young people.
casting ballots Tuesday ...
... Many of those who voted cited convenience."
Don't people realize that there is a federal law that makes employers or schools allow a person of legal voting age time to vote? Probably not.
Now I don't know why Congress just doesn't pass a bill that sets out the rules for federal elections -- one day, one vote (unless you vote absentee under specific conditions) -- this would not effect state's rights in any way because it would only effect the federal offices ... which the federal government has the constitutional right to regulate - but they just haven't enforced it. In fact if they wanted to they could require all states to use the same voting method for the federal elections.
One of the reasons that the federal government has stood back on the whole issue is because so many state/municipal elections take place on the same day. But it has opened up the path of vote fraud.
In our own state, you can register the day you vote -- then that one registered voter can turn around and vouch for up to something like 10 people and get them registered that night as well. No one else gets checked .... and what can they use as an I.D. to register in the first place? Any photo ID and a utility bill with their name on it in the registration area ... that's it -- and if they are one who gets vouched for? just the registered voters word -- no ID at all.
So needless to say ... we have many illegals voting, when my father was elecction-judge they would have people coming in with relatives who just moved in from Chicago -- which was about 8 hrs by train at the time so a person could vote in Chicago and ride a train to our state and cast a second vote ... and both would be counted ... now with the highway speeds up to 70-75mph they can make it in about 6 hrs by car so they will be able to vote in quite a few states between here & there (IL, WI, MN, IA, maybe even MI if they planned it right) and no one would be the wiser!
This -- this just adds more states to the election round robin of voter fraud!!
