Political Ads

Oh it will be nice on Wednesday when I won't have to listen to any more of the ads ... especially with their double speak.

example: " (insert name) voted with George Bush'

1. the PRESIDENT doesn't vote so no one can 'vote with' him
2. he is the PRESIDENT, so call him PRESIDENT Bush ... not 'George' like he's just any other guy. I often hear President Clinton ... no it should be FORMER President Clinton (and even then it shouldn't be since he was impeached!)

also we have a local ad running in a three way race for Senator (Franken, Barkley, and Coleman) ... where Franken claims that he is the only candidate running who has never voted with Bush. This makes complete sense, since:

HE'S NEVER HELD OFFICE SO HE'S NEVER VOTED ON ANY THING!!!

I do love a local Coleman ad where they have a clip of Franken himself saying that people would be crazy to vote for him! Its such an Obama moment.

but still I can't wait for it to be done.
