"Tim Robbins is known in Hollywood as an Academy Award-winning actor, director, activist and hockey fanatic. On Friday, he added comedian to his repertoire while getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."Okay, I guess money can buy you just about anything these days ... wonder who paid for it?
"Guests at the ceremony included Robbins' longtime partner, Susan Sarandon, as well as relatively diminutive actor Jack Black, who said he has known the tall, lanky Robbins for 25 years."Oh well that explains it ... but what work has he done that someone may have seen?
"Robbins was nominated for a best-director Oscar in 1996 for "Dead Man Walking," a movie he co-wrote about the death penalty. Sarandon's role in it won the Oscar for best actress."Oooooh ... never saw it ... I'm serious I never saw it, nor do I have any desire to.
Still, have no idea who this guy is ... good thing he has that star then, someone can look up his career.
Actually I'm kind of intrigued by the relationship between the actress Susan Sarandon and director Robbins -- it reminds me of the movie "Death Becomes Her" with Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, and Bruce Willis (better than it got credit for). Willis plays a famous plastic surgeon who marries a woman who wanted him just for the free surgeries and then she could stay young forever.
hmmm, you know ... wonder how much of their careers are dependant on each other.
