McCain Letter Demanded 2006 Action on Fannie and Freddie - HUMAN EVENTS:
"McCain's letter -- signed by nineteen other senators -- said that it was '...vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac]...operate in a safe and sound manner.[and]..More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event that either...should fail.'you know for all the flack that the Obama camp gives McCain over not being technically suave -- apparently he didn't need technology to tell him that we were headed into trouble if the housing bubble burst.
Sen. Obama did not sign the letter, nor did any other Democrat."
so where was Obama on this? Actually where were any of the democrats that are pointing fingers at the Bush administration for his 'lack of foresight' on this issue?
