He said he has talked to a number of livestock owners about the proposals, and 'all have said if the fees were carried out, it would bankrupt them.'"in case this hasn't dawned on anyone ... this means more meat will have to come from countries that DON"T do the health checks we do.
This is the vegetarians getting too much of a political voice ... it reminds me of "Babylon 5" when the security chief gets a real beef burger and someone informs him that burgers made of flesh are illegal.
You know, these are the same people who cry because a tree gets cut down and a species of owl might have to find a new place to live .... or a pond gets filled and a type of toad might go extinct --- but Bovine? Swine? forget it.
Only thing is ... if they expand it as far as they want, you will also find horse, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. being taxed as well.
the EPA has totally OVERSTEPPED the bounds of reason on this -- and I can't believe it is being allowed!!! When they cut the prices the farmers could charge for milk, farmers emptied tankers of milk on the steps of the Capitol .... wonder what will happen with this one?
