More reason to slow the roll ....

Besides the fact that the Dems bitched and moaned about the things they felt were slipped in or 'forced down their throats' with the Bush Al-Qiada bill -- you know that one that the Dems love to say they didn't know meant that he could go into Iraq too??

So it goes again with the stimulus bill ....

No one has spoken about the Health care issues -- disguised as a non-chelant 'electronic records' plan, it is much more sinister than that!

Now the article mentioned below is looking at the bill from the perspective of Tom Daschle's book about the American health system ... because from what I gather, the health part of the bill was drafted by him when he was still up as Health Czar.

Bloomberg.com: Opinion:

"Elderly Hardest Hit Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt. Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464)."

This means Grandma won't be getting that cataract surgery after all ... and Grandpa won't be able to get those heart pills -- or the Viagra. Grandma won't be able to get that new hip ... and Grandpa will just have to learn to like soup because they aren't going to help with those dentures any more.

Oh and for those who thought that Medicare would be safe because most of the reps are Senior Citizens .... forget it -- they will still be covered under the Federal Employees insurance which will cover all their needs/wants without the 'cost effectiveness' to it.

But don't worry, senior citizens, you are not in this alone -- younger Americans are in the same boat, of sorts.

You see NO TREATMENT will be allowed that this same board doesn't deem "cost efficient" ... and any doctor or hospital that doesn't accept the government's mandates then they will be highly fined -- which I actually read as meaning that they would basically 'force' a dr out of business if they ordered too many tests ... or ordered a follow-up test ... and it sounds like that "second opinion" that you are intitled to now? It will be gone.

For those of you who currently have medical insurance this will mean that where you can now get a same-day appointment once in the system -- you will have to wait a week to get that kid in for his 103F fever and stomach pain ... unless you take him to the ER, in which you will have to wait up to 7 hours to be seen by the 3 drs working on 80 patients ... if you are lucky and they don't send you to another hospital because they have met their 'quota' of non-socialized med patients.

And, no, the bill does not distinguish between doctors and dentists -- but it doesn't say the government wil pay for dental work even though Obama has mentioned the importance of it.

Why is this bill starting to feel more and more like Logan's Run??
