"Rondeau and Adolf Stegbauer got into an argument at a home in the 5200 block of Raceway Road that escalated when one of the men grabbed a sword, prompting the other man to also brandish a sword.Just wait .... Law makers will look at this and try to pass a law forbidding the ownership of sharpened swords without a permit.
Rondeau was already held on an attempted murder charge stemming from the stabbing of Adolf Stegbauer."
You know they will --- just like they tried to pass a requirement for expectant parents to take a parenting course and pass when they get pregnant .... yes there really was a bill for "Parental Licenses".
More than likely either drugs or alcohol were involve in this I'm sure (the story didn't say) ... they also don't mention what type of swords were used, just that they were 'stab wounds' ...
board swords hack, foil/espee slice ... I mean you can stab with them but the foil is really the only one where that would be a 'natural' move with the weapon.
either way -- the Ren Faires around the states will probably end up having some major changes done ... something beyond the normal "no unsheathed swords" rule they have now.
