Asked about Specter, press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters that no promises were made to the veteran senator as far as he knows."So now that Specter has burned his political bridges .... the Dems are pulling back on the promise given Specter that the Pres would campaign for him???

(I wouldn't be so upset except he just got done giving a big statement saying he wasn't going to switch parties .... I did the same thing over Obama's speech of having 'no intention of running')
