Banging my head against the wall

Why? Why are the republicans out to destroy themselves? I mean ... if you are going to make a huge deal out of Kennedy having affairs ... if you are going to make a stink about Dukakis' wife using prescription drugs ... if you are going to piss/moan over misspending money...

THEN DON'T TO IT YOURSELF!!!!!!

Remember the first time you found your parents really meant "Do As I Say, Not As I Do?" .... this is that all over again -- everytime it comes out.

Its like all those scandals in the 80's when those religious leaders where preaching against this politican and that group leader who was guilty of embellezment &/or extra marital affairs and then it was found out that they themselves were doing the same damn thing (I recall three of them off hand).

Lets face the truth here ....

People really don't care that much ... unless it is something like Gulianii who started openly dating a woman while the woman he was married to was being treated for terminal illness (I think that was it) ... if they have affairs if they are doing a great job ....

I think the bigger questions are:
A. who was in charge of the state while he was gone?
B. how would they have gotten a hold of him in an emergency (personal or statewide)?
C. who paid for the trips to visit this woman?
D. is it a 'real' woman or a 'converted' model? (I'm sorry I couldn't think of any other way of saying it .... and plastic surgery is such a common thing in South America, I find it a legit question)
E. can the people of the state move to dismiss him before his term is up?

I mean it shouldn't be anything that the state congress does -- it should really come from the people thru a special election or something --- unless he has committed a crime ... and who knows, there could be some law on the books that would convict him for an extramarital affair - although those usually applied if the wife cheated, not the husband.
