Okay pay attention ...
522,000 newly unemployed
that puts the total number of people drawing hist 6.27 MILLION people total
see they don't tell you that, do they? and that number only counts those who are still getting benefits, it doesn't count those who are no longer getting benefits but still can't find a job ... in fact in a little bit some of those people will be shifted over to the Social Security rolls.
The majority of the burden for the Health care reform bill will be on small business ... because of the way they figure a boss's income, they will be taxed more, and they will mandated to carry health care for all their employees or get a hefty fine ... business will have to pay a 5% surcharge for making money, then if they don't offer the 'proper' health care it is an additional 8% penalty, plus the tax breaks for these businesses are about to be repealled above it all.
Now there will also be rises in Property taxes, and state income taxes are going up across the board, estate taxes and capital gains tax has already gone up ...
and if you think this is only effecting the really wealthy like Oprah or Bill Gates or George Clooney, you better think again. Its your neighbor down the street who owns his own construction business, its the independant contractor who tows trucks, its the mother who works out of her home so she can stay home with her kids.
it will effect them the hardest first.
it will close businesses -- and push up that unemployment rate ....
but slow enough so that it won't hit that 'first time applications' number .... so they can spray it with Fabreeze and try to make it smell better.
