now what this report/article doesn't say is that one of the reasons that the 'total jobless rolls' are falling is likely due to people having run out of benefits and so they go off the roll."The Labor Department says its tally of initial claims for unemployment insurance rose by 30,000 to a seasonally adjusted 554,000. That's above analysts' estimates of 550,000.
But the total jobless benefit rolls fell by 88,000 to 6.2 million, the lowest level since mid-April."
This would include people who were hit by the recession first ... the people who thought they could live off their unemployment for a while and then find a job, but now are finding that the job market is a lot tighter than they were expecting.
So, Mr. President -- where are those jobs you promised us when you mortgaged our great-grandchildren's futures? When you started pushing our taxes to over 1/2 our paychecks? when you made it more appealing to go on the 'dole' than stand on your own two feet?
Where are those jobs, Mr. President???
Where are the ones you don't have to belong to a Union in order to get them?
