Health Care Reform bill

So the House bill was stuffed down the Republicans throats (not a single one voted for it) so now the bill has gone to the Senate - or rather they are working on their own - and the Senate is going to be a lot more conservative, right?

I mean it was only $890 BILLION to do, right? Better than the house bill that was $1Trillion by the time they were done with it ...

Don't hold your breath -- politics being what it is, they are taking advantage of things by sticking in last minute admendments pushing up the price ... a little at a time ... to ... $1Trillion at last count.

(sigh)

564 amendments at last count -- everyone is getting something in there to get a bit of money for their bit of pork ... never mind if it doesn't really have anything to do with health care, just so long as they can get a peice of the money-pie.
