a follow up to an earlier post of the same name ....
I had kept it out of the original story, because I could only find one source which linked the freeing of the Lockerbie terrorist to an oil deal --
but I just saw confirmation!
Now that Qaddafi is celebrating his 40th anniversary of his taking over the country, it has been released that the terrorists release was indeed part of a deal between Libya and BP petroleum.
According to the secetary for Gordon Brown (Britian's PM) there were letters exchanged between Jack Straw (Justice Sec.) & BP caved into Libian demands that the bomber be included in a list of prisoners which would be exchanged for oil.
Jack Straw is denying that there was any such deal -- but really, if they have the letters what would be his defense? I would hope he is reading what he is signing ... I would think that he is informed about anything involving his name.
It will be interesting to watch this story --
