NAW - nothing going on there. right
Second - Senate has finally taken a stand AGAINST giving money to Acorn ... it probably has more to do with those hidden camera videos that have been getting lots of air time ... well that and now that Acorn has done its job by getting in the ultra-liberals they aren't really needed anymore.
But 7 Senators voted to keep funding Acorn -- even after all the indictments & scandals ... who are they?
Roland Burris (D-IL, you remember the scandal?)[hey Franken-stein isn't in the list, must be because Acorn didn't do as much for him as ... well, I'm not completing that thought]
Bob Carey (D- PA)
Dick Durbin (D-IL)
Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY, appointed to take Hillary's place)
Pat Leahy (D-VT)
Bernard Sanders (D-VT)
Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)
Do you think it is just coincidence that the 7 who voted are super liberals? Even Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that they shouldn't get funding while there is a cloud of distrust over them.
Third - The Presidential Health Care speech (still working on the transcript, I just haven't had time to sit and do it -- I don't know how the professionals get it out so fast). You might recall the big hub-bub over the Sen. yelling out 'You Lie" during the speech.
The Sen. apologized directly to the President who accepted it ... still doesn't make it right - hey you may not like the man, but respect the office! So case closed right?
WRONG - there is a call to have an order of discipline filed upon the Senator. But they don't see this as being the same thing they did to President Bush when they boo'd him during the STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS ... they don't see it as being the same as when members call the President (along with the CIA) liars DURING SESSION!!!
Look - I just said yesterday with Serena Williams that just because it wasn't disciplined in the past doesn't mean it shouldn't be punished now ... BUT it is just ironic that it seems that BOTH parties seem to have the mentalities of kids -- well it was wrong for you, but its okay for me. its that 'do as i say, not as I do' mentality that is totally screwing up our government.
Fourth -- I can't remember if I wrote about this yesterday or not ... the Kenyan runner, the one who was being tested to see if it was a she or he --- the tests are back. And I have to say - I feel really bad for this gal (yeah I'll call her a gal for obvious reasons to come) ... she is a 'hermaphrodite' ... she has both male AND female characteristics. She does have male sex organs but they never fully developed and are still internalized.
So the question is -- does the Olympic committee let her run under the 'female' or 'male' category? there was tongue-in-cheek talk about how there would have to be a third category as well.
But this poor gal -- who looks very much like a man -- was in fact raised as a girl - which makes sense since her male organs never externalized - thought she was a girl ... had relationships with peers as a girl .... now she finds out that it isn't so cut & dry.
Her life is ruined. Knowing how the culture is in Africa as a whole ... I don't think she could go back. I have spoken out against the 'pregnant man' who is actually a woman who is living as a man because she refuses to take that final step ... but this is so different. This gal is completely innocent of any 'fraud' ... she never meant to fool anyone ... she never meant to get into the tabloids for anything but her Olympic records. But I have a feeling that if she went home -- it wouldn't be long before we heard of her death at a hate crime.
What will she do? She is reportedly under suicide watch right now ... Do I think that she meant to deceive the Olympic committee? no ... but I would think that perhaps the staff from Kenya did ... I have a feeling that they probably knew that something was going on and hoped that because she also had female sex organs, that they could hide her gender.
Fifth - The Le case at Yale ... depending on what station/news organization you listened to - they either did or didn't have someone in custody for the death of the grad. student found stuffed in the wall (ewww).
All day yesterday Foxnews kept saying they could not find confirmation, then in the afternoon they came out and said that they were told by the FBI that there was no suspect in custody ... while on ABC, NBC, CBS they were saying that they had a suspect in custody and they had confessed.
The FBI is furious that someone leaked any info - especially since the info was sooooooo wrong. I would hate to be that person when they find him/her .... I think this will go beyond just losing their job or getting a slap on the wrist.
Sixth - so who's in the White House? The President is travelling around, the VP is traveling around ... so who is in charge of the Assylum? For the third time this year Joe Biden has taken a very expensive trip to Iraq .... WHY???? No one seems to have a clue right now - they know he talked to the US ambassador, and that he talked to the head of our forces over there, but what the hell? What is going on over there that he has to average a trip every 3 months?? There's just no reason for it -- someone needs to get the VP aquaited with telecommunications ... one has to wonder how much it costs the tax payer for each of these trips ... the cost of AF2's fuel, the cost of stocking the plane, the cost of overtime for the crew ...
and then there's the enviromental issues -- now isn't this supposed to be the big 'enviromental friendly' administration? wasn't this the team that was supposed to be cutting down on greenhouse emissions? wasn't this the group that was going to cut waste and put the money where needed?
So Joe, what's the answer? Mr. 'There are no clean coal plants" ... remember how you were going to close them down because they polluted? what do you think you are doing, bub?
