BREAKING NEWS: NY warning

well its nation wide really .... but mostly for NY... police departments have been told to keep an eye on the post offices for devices that can be used for making bombs.

This is some of the fall out from that raid in Queens yesterday ... which according to reports took place in three apartments!! I haven't heard if it was three seperate buildings, or three apartments in the same building.

here's what we do know so far:

• there was a terrorist of Afghanii decent with possible ties to Al-Qaeda
• he visited the three apartments that were raided
• feds did not commence raid until after he left the city
• he had been under survellance for a while
• they know where he is now (although the congressman of NY would not confirm or deny)
• raids took place Sunday & Monday
• FBI & NYPD felt action had to be taken
• the FBI are furious that news of the raid has leaked out

The National Intelligence Director is saying we are safer today than we were under Bush -- I don't know about that ... either they are being treated to the work done under Bush's watch -or- they haven't plug the intelligence leaks.

Well maybe one good thing -- if the Intials groups (fbi, cia, nsb, etc) aren't comfortable with the way things are being handled in Washington ... they just might pull together instead of fighting each other to get the job done!
