What the heck were they thinking!!!

Okay - so it is 9/11 today .... we have a new President ... just as we did 8 yrs ago.

so what is going on today? Well rememberances of the horrors of the day ... memorials for all those lost beings (need to include the rescue dogs on this one) ... so everyone is on edge.

Gee, this just seems like the best day to hold A TERRORIST DRILL isn't it????

Moments before President Obama crossed the Potomic river bridge to go to the NY memorial ceremonies - maybe it was on the way back - the Coast Guard (or better known as Navy-Lite) decided to pretend there was a terrorist craft coming up the river ...

complete with blanks being fired.

Don't you think they would have learned their lesson with the Airforce One incident???

While I can understand that they wouldn't want to get the info out ahead of time so the terrorists wouldn't think 'gee this is the best time to do something, every one will think its just a drill' ... what they could have done was released the info to the newsheads with the provision that it not be released under penalty of treason so that when the reports started coming in they could get it out there as not to panic the public!

They could have done something. Anything except ignore the on-edge public.
