Okay – so Opec was meeting just before Christmas in the country of Angola, to try to hold steady production and force the gas prices to go back up again … remember all the complaints the Dems made when the gas prices went up under Bush?
Well here's what the Dems don't want you to know --- they are higher now than they were then!
In fact the national average for gas is $1/gal than it was last yr at this time.
The new average? $ 2.60/regular, unleaded … but who uses that crap? (it was $ 1.67 a year ago)
Opec's goal is $75/barrel … I can't remember the formula for determining the price per barrel/per gallon … but it will roughly come out to about $3 - $5/gallon by the time they are finished ….
Opec is kind of hoping for issues in Iran/Iraq which will cause prices to go up for the same barrel of oil …
Yikes!
