1 Million seconds = 11 days
1 Billion seconds = 32 years
1 Trillion seconds = 32,000 years!
This means that if you spent $1 every second (and that's not easy to do) it would take you 128,000 yrs 0r 46, 752, 000 days (1, 122, 048, 000 hours) to spend the $4 Trillion in budget deficit that the government is getting us into.
This was all to lead to a specific page on their website which I will get to in another post .... but that is a pretty big wake up call ....
I'm guessing this isn't a new concept of looking at it all -- I'm thinking this is probably the same argument that was made back when the million dollar deficit was concieved and possibly again when we crossed the $1Billion mark.
But its a good way of thinking about it ....
After all -- nobody likes to wait ... so "give me a second" ... "in a second" ... "hold on a second" .... "one moment please" ... all those things -- people just find plain annoying as heck!
Yeah - its a good way to think about it.
