Obama spoke after G-20 leaders issued a statement calling for "advanced" nations to halve their budget deficits -- as a proportion of gross domestic product growth -- by 2013, and to put their annual deficits on either a lower or a more stable basis by 2016.originally I miss read this statement, I had attributed it to Obama - but it isn't, it was a statement from the OTHER leaders ... Mr. President -- I think they were trying to tell YOU something!
So what did Obama say when he got a chance?
He said that it was important for the coountry (as well as others) should keep spending == read that as government spending/citizen taxing == to stimulate the economy in the short term.
He & Congress just doesn't get it ...
In fact they have passed so many tax dependant programs/bills/packages that if they don't start doing something here soon --- there wont be anyone left employeed to actually pay for the programs!!!
I would not be surprised if by the end of next year we will still be hearing how this is all Bush's fault and we will be in about the same boat as Greece ... well, maybe France ... with riots in the streets of people who want to know where all the money that was supposed to create jobs really went.
Must be hanging out with that "Beautify Chicago" money that disappeared when Obama was a council member there .... I'm just saying ...
