These were the prettiest cigs that there were too. They were long and slender, and they had the prettiest little band around where the filter meets the tobacco. But man did they STINK -- at least I thought so.
Not only do I remember this ad -- my mother had magazines that went all the way back to the 50's because of the patterns in them .... I remember reading a book for health class that actually talked about the health benefits of smoking ... how it does the same thing for your body as a 20 minute work out with each cigarette (gee, just think how healthy you'd be after a pack of them).
See - it was a regularly accepted thought that cigarettes were healthy for you.
Actually much of the science still holds up today, its just that we have decided that the bad effects out weight the benefits.
