Don't Mind What the Naughty Hand is Doing

This should be labelled "eating his own words" instead but this works too:

Proposition 8 -- you know the law passed in CA outlawing gay-marriage -- was recently shot down by the courts as being "unconstitutional" ... even though (a)there is nothing in the Constitution that gives the Feds the power over defining marriage, (b)states have always been allowed to define what constitutes a 'legal' marriage in their boundries before, and (c)the judge did not recuse himself for being biased - he had already spoken out in publicly on this matter before ....

all that aside ....

Obama may have some 'splaning to do ... see ... he is contradicting himself all over the place on this one ... he appears to be going which ever way the wind blows ...

what I call "Finger To The Wind" politics. The same way that the Clinton's used to decide where they would take a vacation, or get a hair cut, or name their dog ...

so what did Obama do??

In June of 2008, while running as Senator Obama (and on the campaign trail) -- ABC news asked him point-blank about Prop 8 in California, asking if it bothered him and he answered flatly without elaboration ... No.

And in 2004 during a radio interview, while running for his Senate seat, he said about gay marriage:
"I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that traditions, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman."

His views changed as he was running for President:

But then there is the whole gays in the military thing going on ...

They are saying that since he repealed tha "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy that things are better ... but really -- what's the difference???

He has not said out right that gays can be in the military ... and without the DA/DT policy anymore, nothing will allow them to get in ...

all this means is that yes they can ask now ... and yes it can effect your military career even if they don't say that's what it is.

I don't know ....

He's just a Finger-In-The-Wind type of guy ....
if only he were a "dust in the wind" type of guy ....
