Op-Ed
Wall Street Journal
Dick Cheney, Fmr. vice-President, United States of America
Yup ... Bush is being VERY polite and not saying a word against the current President while he's still in office ... Not even during the 6 years of "It's Bush's Fault" coming from the White House, he still will be the bigger man and say NOTHING.
He is a bigger man than Jimmy Carter ... A bigger man than Bill Clinton!
The job of the Vice-President, the VP candidate, the FORMER VP is to do the critiquing, the criticizing ... So whatever else you might think of the former President and Vice-President, you have to admit -- they are a CLASS ACT!
When things went wrong in New Orleans after Katrina, did Bush sit there and go "well the FEMA chief is going to fix this so m not going to accept his resignation" or "well the issues aren't really at the top, so we will have to figure out who's really at fault here" or even "it's Clinton's fault"????
No ... FEMA chief got CANNED/RESIGNED ... Sure things weren't great, but at least he TRIED to make it right ... It wasn't his fault that there were so many questionable people down there ... It wasn't his fault that the MAYOR (D) of New Orleans said they had nothing to worry about ... It wasn't his fault tht the FLOODS which is actually what did the damage caused the levies to break through - that was an engineering error that was "standard" for the time ...
You've got to watch Emgineering Disasters on the History Channel to understand this, I guess.
Any how ... I've also seen quotes being attributed to Cheney that I simply did not see being presented in this quote ...
I do not see Cheney actually saying "Obama is ushering US advisories into power" .... Nor do I see where he said "only a fool would cede US policy in Iraq to Iran"
Perhaps it's in part I did not see on tv ... I do not get the Wall Street Journal myself - so I admit that there is likely lots more which was printed that simply did not make it to the airwaves.
Still ...CLASS ACT!!!
I'm guessing, we won't be seeing this from the Obama administration when they leave office unless a democrat gets in there ... But a republican? I expect a lot of mud slinging going on from the Left.
