In local news:
In the city of St. Paul, MN there is a BABER who grew up "dirt poor" - well poor enough to where it set in the back of his mind all while he grew up, got a career, and went to work ... eventually he opened his own Barber Shop and decided to Pay It Forward
Every year this man, and the other barbers in his shop GIVE AWAY free haircuts to poor kids starting school. Then after the cut the kids get a photo taken with the barber who cut their hair, and a few school supplies.
This year however, they changed it up a bit --
First they brought in some lady-stylists so GIRLS could get a free cut too ... I'm sure they never turned away a girl, but it's really nice that they opened the doors wide to them.
And now instead of just getting a few supplies like pencils & notebooks, the kids get am entire backpack full - oh, and the backpack TOO!!
Here's some screen shots ... school begins tomorrow, the day after Lanor Day
