A STORY OF ROBBERY

And not just by the crooks ...

This is NOT my experience -- first, I love cops, and I understand that there are bad/good in ANY group of people ... well except maybe criminals - even Robin Hood should have spent some time in jail ... Let me also say, TOLD YOU SO!!!!!

The Light Rail Transit system has been going on for a few years now, maybe less than 10 yrs of actually running ... highways & streets were being designed to later allow the addition of expansion of the lines since the 00s, but people ignored it.

The idea was interesting - replace the bussing system which were too small on some routes but way too large on others -- my mom was aghast at the thought of the LRT - to her it was nothing more than a rebirth of the old Trolley system which was pulled out because it was INEFFECIENT, and people were getting HURT getting on/off, and it was TOO EXPENSIVE to maintain.

But ... she never mentioned CRIME!!

And somehow I don't think it's because people were gentler or nicer back then -- remember this was the same generation that had Bnnie&Clyde, Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Fllyod, etc .... and those thieves were treated like celebrities!!!

The crime facing MN now ... and the Twin Cities specifically is less against the rich and more about convienience ...

The story of the man the story looked at was a BLIND man ... but they didn't try to pick his pocket, or take his bag, or even plain out rob him ....

Nope - they wanted ... his DOG!!!

Think about this - generally if someone has a dog they do NOT have a cane with them ... that would be like making sure you have a pencil when you've got a pen ... someday you might need it, but not likely.

They PUSHED this blind man OFF the LRT ... they did not say if the train was moving at the time, so we will give them the benefit of a doubt and they had enough heart to wait for the train to be stopped.

You are blind ... no vision or at least very reduced vision (although I think he was completely blind, after all he had a see & eye dog) .... now imagine falling -- it's scary enough WITH sight, imagine not knowing where anything s, how far the ground is, nor how far you are falling ...

This guy landed on his hands and knees - he was lucky ... although he did hurt one of his fingers - that's kind of like taking some bodies eyeballs for a bit ... remember blind people read with their fingers ... I feel for this guy

No word about the actual dog -- so I'm ASSUMING the dog did not get taken away.

And of course - nothing about if the PUNKS who did this were ever caught ... but I'm guessing not.

The issue is ... when it comes right down to it ... the City Officials & State Officials want to bury their heads in the sand.  Everybody has a project they want to concentrate on .. stupid, idiotic things - changing names of lakes, new street lights that look differen (not for places that actually need them), making more bike paths {we're talking frickin' Minnesota where it's snowing 9 months!} ... so everyone has their hand in the cookie jar ... but no one is gathering for more LAW ENFORCEMENT

They don't understand that if they had more police - such that an officer could be there with no 5 minutes the amount of crime would plummet!  Not just uniformed officers, but undercover officers as well
