EXCUSE ME??

You w  ould think, a show with a former White House staffer would understand how the PLANE situation is!

But NOPE ... ABC News goofed up this morning

So, here it is:

The President does have a SPECIAL plane designed just for him - all the comforts of the Oval Office and then some.  But, it is NOT Air Force  1

 AF-1 is actually ANY plane which carries the President  of the United States --  ANY!

So, a 747 to a 2-seater Cessna ... If the Prez is on it, it gets called AF-1

Exceptions:

Heliocopters - there are a series of choppers which take the President from the WH to the drop off point (not always the airport) ... NONE of these are identified as AF-1 ... Each has their own call sign, in general 3 are sent at any given time and they basically play the Shell Game/5Card Monty in the sky, to keep the Prez safe.

Other Countries: If the President climbs onto a plane with the LEADER of another country -say the UK - and that leader is ON BOARD as well, then the plane will carry the call of whatever their leader calls it.

If Biden hops on the plane of the British Prime nd those balloons so seriouslyMinister, it would be Teacup 1 or whatever they call it ... With King Charles 3.0, it would be Dumbo Ears or whatever (sorry mean, I just couldn't think of a better one)

BUT, if he simply borrowed the plane but they weren't on board, then it would be AF-1

The report dealt with the recent trip to Ukrainia ... Glad to see he's taking OH and those balloons so seriously ... Not to mention his Carbon Footprint!:..

Anyhow, the reporter referred to a plane as NOT being AF-1 but a small plane which took President Biden to the meeting, and she specified that Biden met the Ukrainian president there after the flight.
