It also includes:
It shorts the time for legal review of their cases to just 6 months
`Expands Fast-Track deportations
`Restricts the use of the Immigration Parole Authority
`It will allow 50,000 more VISAs
`Give statis to children of skilled workers
`Offer permanent resiadency to Afghans brought here after the U.S. withdrawl from Afganistan (would they really send them back though? I would think that would be an instant death-penalty)
`Plus the $14Billion already requested for operations/personale (the host said "to hire more personale" but we know its going to go to raise wages first, these guys/gals deserve it)

Now one thing they have added to the 5,000 daily allowance is that that applies to "processing asylum claims" ... to me that says that they will only fill out 5,000 forms daily - itt does not mean only 5,000 people will cross the border ... and in the law, words have specific meanings, and not the smae ones common folk would associate with them.
I'm beginning to see why President Trump would be saying not to fall for it.
Also ... this bill is described as being negotiated between a small group of Senators and President Biden, himself ... (A)I don't belive any President should be involved in the drafting of bills before either branch of government - the President's power on the bill/law doesn't begin until it lands on his desk waiting for either a signature or a veto ... that's it, tat's all.
My father had a different opinion, he felt that the President should have a say in the bill negotiation so he could direct his party to what he considered the best course for the country to take.

According to Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) people are reacting to "internet rumors" and most of them are false - and they still don't have anything actually written up for the senate to read - 4 months after they began!!! I know it takes time, but in all this time, no one wrote anything down?? How the heck did you all get yur college degrees, never taking notes on nothing!
Now remember - even if it passes commitee in the Senate ... it then has to go to committee in the House, changes are likely to be made ... it then goes back and forth until something is finally agreed upon by both sides of Congress.
I've got to find the Life of aBill cartoon on YouTube and post it here. It can take a really, really, really long time for something to go through ...
Even longer if there's any challenges to the Constutionability of it.
Then if the Supreme Court finds its Unconstitutional, it gets struck out of existance in whole or in part ... and the whole thing starts all over again from Square 1.
