BY THE NUMBERS ... IOWA CAUCUS NIGHT

 Okay - I'm really behind on this one, normally I watch all the Sunday news shows on Sunday or Monday ... but I held off on watching At Issue (KSTP-ABC local) ... I don't know why, but I did.

And lo' & behold - they had some of the numbers I had been looking for on the national programs which they didn't even talk about.

The county that Nikki Haley won in Iowa, was actually 3 precints (voting areas) which all used the same location to do their caucuses.
It sounds as if each had a different area within the building though, so they would not influence each other.
Nikki Haley won all three precints, each with different counts but somehow it has been determined that she had lost by only 1 vote, at least according to the national news ...
From the clip on the show, they read off the vote for their one district as "37 for Haley, and 16 for Trump" (no mention of Desantis at all)

Only 15% of the states registered Republicans showed up on caucus night to vote ... that is about 110,000 registered republicans turned out to vote ... considering the subzero temps, that's nothing to sneeze at!!!

Ackman, big PACT donor, has contributed $1Million to the Dean Phillips campaign ... Ackman is in Hedgefunds ... 
Phillips is now being accused of changing his views on many things to pitch what Ackman believes in ...especially Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ... but it was replaced with "Equity and Restorative Justice"

If you ask me, that's just a fancy way of saying "Affirmative Action and Reparations" ... just saying.  I do understand how the DEI slogan (?) has become politicized, oftern becoming a trigger issue ... but putting old ideas in a fancier labeled package doesn't change what's actually inside.

A new solution has to be thought of ... one which will not bankrupt the nation, nor cause civil unrest!

For the first time in 70 years, all the State Supreme Court justices in the state of Minnesota will have been appointed by governors of a single political party!  
This will put the DFL in charge of all three branches of government in Minnesota ... Governor, Senate/House, and Judicial ...
Scary times are coming!

This mieans that the democrats will basically have a free hand in just about anything they wish to do ... it will be the Wild West again, only without guns, elections are likely to change drastically, and the state constitution will go wild with amendments that will change life to the point where the western area of MN will want to join the Dakotas and the Eastern part will want to join Wisconsin.
