THE TINTERVIEWS

Now - if you've read my blog for a bit, you know I tend to watch Fox News a LOT .... because I do find them a bit more balanced than CNN or ABC .... but I tend to watch them as well, just not as much - especially during an election.

And because NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, etc .... seem to "run the show" - in so much as ABC/CBS/NBC are generally "free" tv these days - if you are lucky enough to still be able to get free tv thanks to Obama - stupidest damned law out there! No wait - I'm sure there's others ....

anyhow - I of course recorded the two interviews which Fox News was having a heck of a time getting - at the end of every show it seemed like they'd say "and we would love them to come on ..." or "we have an open inveitatin" ... or some such ...

The Interviews?

Donald Trump - he tends to only like one reporter on Fox (Hannity) these days, so while he might give an occasional clip, to get him to sit down and do an open air/open hall forum was quite he coup for Harris Faulkner!!!

Only oher person who has gotten close to that was Hannity ... 

But that's not the interview I want to talk about ... don't get me wrong - it had it's moments, I'm sure, but I haven't watched it yet ...

No - the interview, which was a breater catch, was one which got ALL OVER he air waves afterwards ... and LIED about like you wouldn't believe!

Kamala Harris v. Bret Braer ... I put the v. there because the other news companies made it seem like it was a BATTLE ROYALE ....

Which it wasn't .... it was a lot tamer than the second Presidential Debate, where it was clearly a "3:1" situaion, or even the Vice-Presidenial debate where the moderator broke the rules .... and got called out for it, btw.

Braer came out the next day on another show - not his own - to talk about what heppened .... and he was not happy with it at all.

1)In order to get the interview at all, he had to pre-tape it .... there's a term for this type of interview, but I don't remember what it is .... but he said no editing, what happened is what was gonna air ....

Harris camp said "okay"

2)Harris camp said she could give him a half hour TOTAL TIME - this includes makeup, hair dressing, etc. as well as the inerview ...

Bret said "okay" - this is a BIG concession to have made, btw.

3)Harris showed up 15 minutes latte ... remember, Bret's show goes ON AIR at 6pm ET .... so this is going to be tight

If he had simply said "we will just do it live" they would have walked away .... so he worked with it.

4) Harris' camp said "still gotta end by 5:30p" ... so now it has gone from 30 minutes to 15 minutes ... that's gonna be tough ...

5)Out of the box, Harris was confrontive with Bret - she tried pulling the "I'm talking" crap that she did in 2020 ... Bret said he just wanted her to answer the question she asked ....

You ever put cornstarch in a bit of water?
You can try to grab it, but it will just float away ... but toddlers love it ... 
Well - politicans are kind of like that cornstarch ....

And if Bret, with all his experience, was under stress - you could see it in his face - but not so much because of how little ime he actually had ...

Not for fact that it was going to be tough to "fluff" until the ape went up ....

But because SHE WOULDN'T ANSWER THE QUESTIONS .... Word Salad was her dish of choice ...

Total number of QUESTIONS asked = 4 ... that's it, just 4

Total number of Word Salads served = 4 .... she had her talking points and she wasn't going to stray from them at all ...

Question 1:
How many people have crossed the Southern border illegally over the last 3 1/2 years, since your administration started, would you say have come into America?  ((he was just looking for a number here, just an esttimate - 1 million, 3 million, 6 million)

Right away, she decided she wasn't going to answer that question - remind me to to talk about body langueage later - so she tried to flip the moment to talk about how the "immigration system is broken" and how "Trump interferred with a great bill" ((it was total crap btw))

Bret decided to GIVE HER THE ANSWER ... 6 million, according to the Biden-Harris INS numbers, btw .... and she interrupted him saying "I'm not done yet" ....

If you saw this on "Good Morning America" (ABC) the following morning, you probably thought he screamed it at her - no, he said it in an everday, conversational voice.

When he said "I'll get to your question, I promise you" she came back with "I was just going to answer it" .... ma'am - you were wasting time and you KNOW IT!!!!
The last thing she wanted to do was "answer" his question - remember, the borders are HER JOB to keep an eye on .... Biden put HER IN CHARGE of them.
Why?
Because when he was VP, it was what Obama pu him in charge of, and it was fairly EASY to do - not even Biden screwed itt up as badly as she did!

QUESTION 2:
About the negation of the Trump border policy, on the first day of being in office, especially the one regarding having people wait in Mexico while their claims were being checked out. (again, body language ... oh - this may be a seperate post) .... he FLIPPED the question on her though ... he asked about the MEN who entered and COMMITTED HEINOUS CRIMES once here (the rapes/kidnappings/killings) ... oh the look on her face - she was NOT expecting this one ...

She went on to say the first bill they offered, within hours of taking the oath, before .... and she listed a bunch of bills which they sent up & got passed (well they should have, they had both houses of Congress at the time) was the U.S. Citizen Act of 2021 ... which BRET named, not Haris ....

He then wanted to give a bit of explaination of what the bill meant .... now she got rude .... but if you watched other networks, they had it clipped so tight, it looked like HE was the rude one ...

"May I please finish" - ma'am, you took the pause, the talking stick passed, you should have let him finish his thought first .... then you could have continued on .... but maybe, that's just a MN thing ....

Bret pointed out that they the White House, the House, the Senate - and they didn't BRING UP THAT BILL .... and she still acted like Bret was trying to talk over her ... "I'm still responding to the point your raising"

She then actually started to give a cohesive answer ... but it seemed like to a different question ...

She tried, once again, to flip it to that stupid bill in 2022 that would have allowed over 3000 people across the border EVERY DAY .... which she says Trump killed - he had NO power at the time, but somehow he killed it.

She says it would have put 1500 more Border Patrol agans along the border .... who are you going to recruit? No one wants to work in Law Enforcement anymore - they get NO backing from the city/sttatte/ federal government.

She started talking about "which I have done" while in CA .... and Bret NEEDED to move on .... she was giving a 10 minue "answer" to a question he hadn't asked ...

QUESTION 3:
6 Democrats voted agaist that bill (the US Citizan thingy) ... oh and he dems (which they put up on a placard) were Bernie Sanders (D-VT), Booker (D-NJ), Markey (D-MA), Butler (D-CA), Padilla (D-CA), Sinema (D-AZ) ... yes, that is BOTH senators from CALIFORNIA you see listed there ... as well as one from Arizona - the only two border states represented ... so why didn't NM join in?

Oops off topic ...

QUESTION 3: (let's try this again)
Bret NAMED some of the victrims of the men who crossed the border, and pointed out tha all these men crossed DURING their administration, and BEFORE Trump was supposed to have "killed the bill" ...
To which she immediately began shaking her head and stumblin on her words ...
Bret continued with his question and asked if she owed those families an APOLOGY for these men getting set free into the country .... remember, once in, the majority of them go "underground" and are "lost", they don't show up for their asylum hearings, and they don't get "looked for" unless they get picked up for another crime.

Harris said she understands that these are tragic "cases", there's no question about that ....

Wait - "cases"????  No ma'am these were tragic CRIMES .... get the wording right! 
This wasn't a court "case" .... this isn't a traffic violation .... this was MURDER ... horrifying rape & murder CRIMES....

SOUMEHOW, she managed to twist this back around to that failed border bill (which they say Trump stopped) ... but NEVER OFFERED AN APOLOGY ...

I think she missed an incredible opportunity here!

Bret - pointed out that it was a BIDEN/HARRIS policy decision which allowed these men to be released into the country WELL BEFORE the border bill even began ...

He then played a clip from the Hearings in which Joselyn (13 years old) mother spoke - remember, she was the little girl who had gone missing, and then found later along a canal, where they discovered she had been sexually assaulted, beaten, choked and then disposed of in the river by 2 men who were here illegally ...

Harris did say she was "so sorry for her loss" .... but then she tried to switch it back to "what is happening right now" ... "I told you I feel awful for what she and her family has experienced"

EXPERIENCED??  Disney is an experience ... the Grand Canyon is an experience ... watching the Northern Lights is an experience ... this is an HORROR .... 

At least call it what it is!!!

QUESTION 4:

"During that time, you said repeatedly, that the border was secure - when in your mind, did it start becoming a crisis" .... ((very good question!))

"We've had, transcending Donald Trump's administration, a broken immigration system - even before - let's all be honest about that"

Bret pointed out that the BORDER PATROL themselves has said she is a FAILURE at border control security!!!

She said she just thinks they are frustrated and want support ... 

Interestingly enough - while answering tthe question with her resume .... AGAIN ... she said 
" .... I will do that work as VICE PRESIDENT, I take that work quite seriously"

Um .... they may wish to tell her that she IS the VP now, and she should have said she would do it as PRESIDENT ....
I think, we've got our answer of how the government is being ran ....

OH - and there are a LOT more than 4 questions here to ... so I'm just gonna keep numbering them ... but I had heard there had only been 4 questions someplace (and all this happened in he first 10 minutes of the interview, btw)

QUESTION 6: (5 was mixed into number 4)
About Ad campaigns/commercials ... and where she stands on issues NOW ....
She was asked specifically about using tax payer money to help transgender prisoners get the operations necessary ...

To which she said "I will follow the law" - Bret pointed out that she has a say in the laws, or she would as President ....
She countered with "Well it was the law under the Trump administration as well, prisioners in he federal system had access to it too"
Bret pointed out that Trump had never supported the program publically ...
To which she then stared talking about $20Million spent to make just tha one ad ... really??? on a single ad??  I don't think so - but then, I don't make ads, so it could be.

She said that this issue doesn't effect the American public in any "real way" .... HELLO - IT'S OUR TAXES YOU ARE USING!!!

But, neither here nor there ... she will think what she wants to think .... she then jumped into plans she has ...

Like the Affordable Housing issue - aka apartments/ghettos, sorry, there's just no other words for them.  Look at NYC and LA's "affordable housing", heck, look at London's "affordable housing" .... its all just a fancier term for ghetto

She began to run off a bunch of finacial institutions who say her economy will "strengthen" America's economy better than Trump's ... yada yada yada ... and Bret asked ...

QUESTION 7:
Then why do so many people believe he will handle the economy better??

To which she simply said that they need to listen to people who understand "economic policy better" .... um .... are these the same ones who said ACA wouldn't cost any more and people could keep the doctor's they like??

PAUL RYAN - can we hear from you sir?  PURELY on the economic part of it - we all know you can't stand Trump ....

She again mentioned that he would give tax cuts to billionaires and large corporations .... but .... I haven'tt seen him mention anything about that ....
Her plans would actually force companies to LEAVE the USA, and those who make the mostt money to MOVE OU OF COUNTRY ....

Remvmer - she is from CA, where they want to pass a law saying that for 10 years after you move out of state, you will still have to pay STATE income tax .... it's the only way they can pay for all the "programs" they have.

QUESTION 8:
He asked her, prefaceing it with clips of 2 different shows (The View & "Corbert") in which she was asked if there was anything different she would have done .... you might recall, that on both occasions she said she couldn't think of ANYTHING she would have changed ....

On Corbert she did say that one change would be that she is NOT Joe Biden .... are we sure about this?  But then she said "with 28 days to go, I'm not Donald Trump"

She said her presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden's presidency .... wow ... so she is basically saying - she supports NOTHING that Biden did???

She then went into a talking point ramble about "First Time Homebuyers" who she says will get $25,000 for a downpayment ... this will be a seperate post, I can feel it coming - it is not as big of a house as people think/hope ... plus there's glitches in what her plan is as well ... but hat's NOT this post ....

QUESTUION 9: 
Her campaign slogan "A New Way Forward, Time To Turn The Page" ... Bret asked what she is urning the page over from and what to??

She started with the reterhic for the last decade of what Donald Trump put foraward ....

Um - 10 years will put that back to the OBAMA ERA ... I'm not sure she understands how time works .... she knocking the legs out from under Biden again.

Bret tried his best to get her to listen tto how 70% of people polled have said the country is on the wrong track ....

Well the placard they put up said :
DIRECTION OF COUNTRY
Right Direstion 21%
Wrong Track 79%

My issue is, they did not post how many were asked, or what the MOE was .... two very large factors.

He pointed out that she has been in office for 3 1/2 years, and this is her track record ... to which she said ...

"And Donald Trump has been running for office ..."
It's the new "I haven't been to Europe, eiher" moment!!!

When she realized what she had done, she came back with ... "Come on, we both know what I'm talking about" ... to which Bret said "No - I have no idea.  What ARE you talking about?"  Which I know I was thinking too.

She then started talking about the "republicans" she had on stage with her .... which really isn't all that surprising when you think about it - they had been either fired (now looking to write a book) or hoping to get a spot on her cabinet or an ambassadorship - loyalty is "for sale" with many politicans these days.

QUESTION 10:
Bret: If that's the case, then why is half the country supporting him - why is he beating you in so many of the swing states if tha's the truth?

She brought up that Trump was the one who demeans people, thatt he has threatened to turn American military on American people ....
To which Bret brough up that this very question had been brought up to Trump during the Harris Faulkner interview ...

Harris then said that the clip was NOT what he had been saying about the "Enemy Within" .... AH - she saids he had talked about going after people engaged in "peaceful protest" .... um .... yeah - my kids were THERE during those "peaceful protests", Ma'am.

My youngest came up to the lake because she was so scared .... her boyfriend - who was part of the National Guard at the time - told her too.
He wasn't called up for 4 days after things had begun - because Walz wouldn't do anything until Trump said "you do it, or I will" ....
While there were some who were peaceful, the majority of it was no where near "peaceful" .... ask the Police officers who were nearly rapped in their precinct building as the "peaceful protestors" set it on fire!!!!!!

QUESTION 11: (the BIG one)
Bret pointed out that she has said Trump was Unstable, unbalanced, Mentally Unstable .... to which she spoke over him, continuing to say Trump is unstable ... when he dropped this question:

WHEN DID YOU FIRST NOTICE THAT JOE BIDEN'S MENTAL FACILTTIES HAD DEMINISHED?

EWWWWWWWWWW - Gotcha questions usually tick me off .... but this is a question we have been asking for a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG time!

"Joe Biden, I have watched him from the Oval office to the situation room.  He has the judgement, and the experiment (realizing her goof), the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people."

So ... when Bret asked if she had no concerns, she answered with "Joe Biden is not on the ballot" .... 

wow ....

QUESTION 12: (oh this is getting good now)
You met with hime once a week, for 3 1/2 years, and you didn't have ANY concerns?

"I think the American people have a concern about Donald Trump ...."

So - she AIN'T gonna answer .... EVER .... as long as she is part of DC

QUESTION 13:
About her "60 Minutes" interview where she was asked about America's biggest threat, she had said Iran.  She then went on to say Iran had American blood on their hands with the bombing of Israel ...

Um .... while it is likely - very likely - that there are hose wih duo citizenship there .... does she realize they are a seperate country?  It is a very convoluted response.

Bret tried to zero in on why she felt that Iran was the biggest threat, experts thought she would have said either China or Rusia, maybe even North Korea, but Iran was a shock ...

He tried to point out that if Iran was such a big threat then why did .... but then she started talking OVER HIM, rude, about Trump having pulled out of the Nuke deal made by Obama/Biden .... she had simply stopped listening to the question ...

Bret put up a placard which showed how much money Iran has MADE in Oil Revenue since 2021, when the Biden/Harris administration began.

And this is where hings totally broke down .... about 20 minutes into the interview .... Bret kept trying to get her to hear his question, she kept trying to blame Donald Trump ....

It was a lot of speaking over each other .... I was really shocked that Bret apologized for the speaking over each oher .... SHE was the one who wasn't answering the question ....

Are we sure she went to law school???
Lawyers HAVE to know how to listen in order to know wha to ask next ..... I thought.

Bret said "Madam Vice President, they are wrapping me very hard here ..."

The "they" of which he speaks is not the Fox team, it's the HARRIS TEAM .... who she is  supposed to be in charge of ....

You think if Obama or Trump wanted to continue on for a bit, that they wouldn't have said - they can wait a while, and then finish the interview???

Wow - how "weak" does it make her look, having "handlers" tell her what to do?

Basically it came down to, like Bret said at the end, HIS goal was to introduce HER beliefs/policies to the American people who watch Fox .... but HER goal was to turn this into a political stop.

She started putting out about everything on her website - and Bret said that's why hey had her on, to compare her from where she was in 2019 to where she is now - she still pratttled on about everything on her website ....

WOW ....

Bret had some great questions ....

It would have been nice if we could have actually gotten some ANSWERS to them though ....

Especially the "what did you know, and when did you know it" .... even the entire thing about how Iran can be making so much money during their administration withut hem seeming to do ANYTHING about it.

Then the next day - to have reporters from other networks (especially MSNBC, who he is constantly beating out on rattings) calling him a "hack", a "former jornalist", someone who has "lost it" (meaning his mind, not his temper), unprofessional (excuse me???) ....

It's like they saw an entirely different interview!!

I actually feel kind of bad for Brett -- most of the Fox anchors really -- it has to be kind of like Wikipedia ....
The institutions will tell you that they are an "unreliable source" but if you follow tthe sources they use, you'll find they are spot on ....

Total time for the interview - remember, they promised 30 minues .... total time?

25 minutes ....

Not too bad I suppose .... just sad she decided to talk over and battle so much instead of simply answering the questions.
