Mixed feelings

Okay so we were going to go to Polar Cubs this year--the first year I get to go and my son's last year to be able to go being that he moves up at the end of next month...

But with the biting windchills they have cancelled it for this weekend-the one we were scheduled for.

Part of me is going "RATS!" because I love to spend time playing with my kids and in the snow is a doubly good time....but with windchills expected to be -35 to -40, part of me is going "thank goodness'.
but mostly I have to say....I'm just glad it wasn't me that had to make the decision and disappoint my kid....the council did it officially for me.

Polar cubs looks like lots of fun...hubby normally goes with the kid so I was really looking forward to it....one year we had an early thaw and a late PC date--they got to play in the mud! What fun is that???!!!! I would have loved it....they went tubing down the side of a hill thru the mud--Hahahahahahha.
One year we didn't have hardly any snow for the PC date but the kids still had fun...and so did hubby.

Oh well. If you want to know more about Polar Cub camp--as i'm sure some of you in Arizona & New Mexico would have no idea what I'm talking about---just follow the link at the top of the post for a pdf that explains about it.

I have pics but I need to decide whether I really want to put that personal of stuff on line--of course there are so many kids in the photos that no one would be able to tell which kid is which.

I'll have to think about it.
