"Obama used the Democrats' system of awarding delegates to limit his losses in states won by Clinton while maximizing gains in states he carried."What does this mean? It means everything that Obama has done from the moment he got his senate seat (and probably before) has been for this singular position.
It started with the media -- he used their nature to want to 'break' a sensational story to hs advantage but allowing them to speculate about a presidential bid before he was even finished with his first year of being a senator.
He catted about the questions ... but never gave a straight out 'no' or 'yes' ... there were a lot of 'no intentions' mentioned during interviews .... quite a few 'not at this time' responses ... and the networks were hooked.
They thought they were batting around the mouse, not realizing that they were in fact the rodents in this game. And they learned too late that without thinking, without checking, all in the name of a juicy-story they had been used ... so then they tried to bring him down.
But you know what? They found someone who could play the game better than they can. So now Obama has played his hand .... the people are his pieces -- and that's about all we seem to be.
The story is right, look at how he has worked this process and you will get an idea of how he will handle the nation.
He cared about cities with high populations because they had more delegates to award (even for all his talk about helping the smaller towns) .... he has only put forth an effort in states that he knew had high african-american populations (high democratic counts) ... he used the numbers to play the game.
He used the press effectively to make himself looked 'picked' upon because he was 'new' to the political game (Wright incident was the most prominent), while waiting for Hillary (or more specifically Bill) make a slip and then jumping all over her because she should have known better having been in politics longer than him.
He does a really good job at talking out of both sides of his mouth while looking like he's giving a straight answer. Kind of like your kid who is trying to explain that doing the report that goes with the project will get him an A, but without it he will still get a B ... and that won't make that big of a deal when it comes to his grade. {oops, I could be projecting there}
But you get the idea. And that will be the way he will rule this country -- and lets get it straight ... some of you think Bush is a meglomaniac?? Wait
As scary as I find McCain .... I find Obama even more so.
He is Loki in disquise I'm telling you.
