JESSE JACKSON SAYS HE WANTS TO CUT OBAMA'S 'NUTS OUT' - New York Post:

"WASHINGTON - In a vulgar tirade caught on tape by Fox News, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said he wanted to 'cut his [Barack Obama's] nuts out' and he accused the fellow Chicagoan of 'talking down to black folks' by giving moral lectures to African-Americans, source said Jackson's shocking quotes were picked up by a hot mic before an interview on health care in Fox's Chicago studio last Sunday"

I actually was not going to write anything about this until I saw MSNBCs reaction on 'Countdown' (since Keith was off I thought the tone would have changed - boy was I wrong)... it is just as 'blame Fox' as it ever was.

While they did play the clip correctly and did say that Jackson made the comments while his mic was still on -- they basically made it Fox's fault for recording it.

I'm sorry .... Jackson is not new to this ... he has been interviewed an incredible amount of times and surely knows that the mics aren't always off -- its also not the first time he has been caught making comments while mic'd up.

This was going to be no more than the typical chatting and the person walks in the room type of thing. In fact it would have really gone away without comment from me -- however .... I feel I must say that if the shoe had been on the other foot and MSNBC had recorded it, they would have jumped at the chance to show it ... especially if it were a clip of say, Colin Powell saying it about Obama .... or some republican supporter saying it about McCain/Bush/Cheney.

Oh yes, they would be doing the exact same thing that Fox had done -- and with a smile on their lips .... after all ... Fox is kicking their butts in ratings.

Word to Jesse: remember the golden rule when it comes to reporters -- there is no such thing as 'off the record'
