And this should surprise us? Why is the media acting so shocked that the Chinese is doing everything in their power to make their country look so much better than it is?
Actually I feel bad for the little girl who got replaced ... well her body image anyways. to have the media touting that she wasn't 'pretty enough' will follow her for many years - I just hope she doesn't get any emotional scars from it.
I noticed that the girl chosen (photos on newslink above) to replace her has a more 'japanese' shaped face, more pointed like a Europeans, and rather straight teeth in front.
The singer is more like your typical 7-yr old .... hairs a bit messy, she looks 'shiny' from playing, her teeth are misaligned ... but what a cutey! Oh yeah - the boys will be lining up at her door. Not pretty enough.
You know -- I never thought China was so sensitive to what the West thought of them .... especially not to the point of replacing a normal person with a beauty queen ... shame on them for this one.
The fireworks thing - not nice but acceptable ... but telling a 7 yr old she wasn't the proper image for the world to see -- AWFUL!!!
