Oily situations

Hello - and people want these fly-by-the-pollers in office? why? because they don't like the current President so they are going to throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water?

And people also need to realize that if we keep releasing from the oil reserve that we will soon run out - the difference in the price is minimal, but if for some reason our supplies from overseas gets cut off the consequences would be tremendous.

Speaking of oil ....
did you see that there is now a territorial 'war' (of sorts) going on over the ocean floor surrounding Alaska? Russia is trying to claim some of the underwater coastal area as their own - they have even sent a ship there to declare it ... the US has sent 4 expeditions of our own to take 3D maps of the area to help 'redefine' the boundries as they are finding that land masses extend way beyond what elder geologists originally thought.

extending far into 'international' waters.

while this seems trivial at first - when you realize that we now have the technology to turn that lower grade oil deposits up there into useful product it becomes very significant.

So are we really in such dire straits when it comes to oil?
No not really .... we probably still have enough oil for 100s of yrs ... but you know people -- panic now.
