UN Meeting: Obama vs. Qaddafi

Wholly Cripes! did somebody mix up Qaddafi's notes today? Obama gave a speech this morning, and while I didn't agree with everything he said - he was very articulate and only stumbled over his words a couple of times.

in contrast ... Qaddafi got up to the podium - and I honestly thought it was the translator making mistakes, a lot of hmm, and ummms, and ahhs but it wasn't - and couldn't seem to keep a line of thinking. It was very obvious that he had written his speech himself -- but then it was like he couldn't read his own hand writing.

He jumped from subject to subject - often times repeating the same thought or seemingly unable to complete the thought he was on. He read directly from his sheet and often lost his place and had to stop to find it again.

I understand that not everyone has a pack of people writing their speeches -- but being a leader of a country wouldn't you think he'd be able to gather his thoughts? Couldn't somebody buy this man note cards so he could organize things a tad better?

It was almost embarrassing - and that was just the little bit I saw ... his speech lasted well over 90 minutes. The CIA considered him borderline "crazy" ... I don't think they were that far from wrong. They say he talked about the Kennedy assassination, killing of Mabumba, and kept referring to Obama as "my son" because of his African roots. He spoke of how Iraq should be allowed to go to civil war, how Saddam didn't get a trial before his execution.

He questioned if the Taliban were really an enemy, if they were really terrorists.

WHAT??? yeah, he did:

" ... Then we have the Afghan war, there should be an investigation for the Afghan war. Why are we against Taliban? Why are we against Afghan who is Taliban? If the taliban wants to make the religious state, okay like the Vatican [translator seemed to be stumbling over his words here, or its just my midwestern ears playing tricks on me]. but does that constitute they are dead set against us, no, its a religious country very peaceful. And if Taliban wants to make a Islamic immagrant who said that Taliban is an enemy? Who said that Bin Laden is Taliban Afghani? Is Afghanan Bin Laden? Is Bin Laden from Taliban? no. He's not Taliban, he's not Afghan. Those terrorists who hit NY the city are unknown, are they Taliban, are they Afghan? Neither. No Taliban. "

Unfortunately he will be getting alot of air time over there, wellchopped and cut so he starts to make at least a little sense .... well, maybe sane would be a better word ... and they will believe it all - because they are only allowed one side of any subject

Um - guys - as long as you have him here in America ... you might want to get him to a doctor and have him evaluated ... I think he's having a few issues.
