Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant, the Orlando Sentinel reported, citing the FHP.
He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.
Woods was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP told the Sentinel.
Okay - unless he was already hurt I can't see an accident under 33 mph causing any serious injuries ... unless he wasn't seatbelted, then I can see some injury but nothing that should be putting him in the hospital under 'very serious condition' .... even if he had been drinking.
2:33am is a pretty strange time to be out driving too ...
this will be a story to watch -- I've a feeling that they are holding back a lot of info (for some reason I'm thinking a domestic where he came out on the worse end of it).... a LOT of info.
smashing into the hydrant and then the tree sounds to me like the steering went out on the car as well. or perhaps he was hurt to the point of where he couldn't quite control the car....
but what charges could be pending? hmmmm.
lots of questions -- very few answers
