Is your state one of those listed who are underfunding the pension plans of workers? that is they don't have enough money set aside to cover when the work forces retire ...
on one state - New York - is not listed ...
the states are reporting that they are $340billion short, BUT the Nation Bureau of Economic Research puts it closer to $1.9Trillion!!!
You have to wonder what the NBER was counting that the states weren't ... but then if you've watched goverment budgets for a while (or if you've learned anything from the HC bill) you know that they shuffle those numbers so what looks like a gain is actually a loss to anyone with a brain.
