IRONY IS AS IRONY DOES

 SOOOOO, I've been watching the news ... well Good Morning America ... and I see that the unions are settling in CA

the Writer's Guild and Hollywood are finakizing their new contracts as we speak ... in fact it sounds like they are going to get just about everything they wanted.

Including bigger staff on projects ... higher royalties ... royalties for streaming projets ... not having AI on projects .... etc.

wait - they are AGAINST AI?

I wonder how many of them use the SELF CHECKOUT at the stores???

After all .... AI is AI!

Why is it okay to put a cashier out of work but not a writer with modern technology??

Your jobs aren't going to be long for this world either if it becomes less expensive to bring in AI on the assembly lines than workers ...

and even if they do settle with the union ... there is absolutely no guarentee that YOUR position will be safe from a lay-off.

That money has to come from somewhere -- you all might be wanting a 40% pay increase, but you're about to kick Over Head up by 100% ...

Expect a lot of job cuts ... lay-offs ... etc.

Oh and that 4-day work week ... do you enjoy working 10 hours on the line? because that's the ONLY way you are going to be making a 40-jour week ... forget overtime, too.

Yup ... Unions help keep America "strong" .... Unemployed, but "strong"
